A new album of music composed by queer composers and/or poets, also a premiere recording of a cycle by Ruth Gipps.

UNVEILED explores themes of hidden love, shame, pride, youth and death. It is produced by Delphian Records and features acclaimed pianist and broadcaster Iain Burnside and the much in demand guitarist, Craig Ogden.

ABOUT ELGAN

Tenor Elgan Llyr Thomas hails from Llandudno, North Wales. He performs a wide variety of repertoire within the operatic canon, specialising in 20th century and contemporary repertoire, as well as enjoying a busy career on the concert platform. Recent engagements include his debut with the Boston Symphony Orchestra as tenor soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at Tanglewood conducted by Ludovic Morlot, Prologue/Quint The Turn of the Screw for the Royal Ballet & Opera, Jack O’Brien The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny for English National Opera, his debut with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra as tenor soloist in Haydn's Nelson Mass conducted by Hannu Lintu and his debut with the Royal Stockholm Philarmonic as tenor soloist in Mahler’s Das Klagende Lied conducted by Ryan Bancroft.

Future engagements include a return to Grange Park Opera as the title role in the world premiere of Sir John Tavener’s Krishna and tenor soloist at Cheltenham Music Festival in Bruckner’s Te Deum. The 2026/27 season will include a return to English National Opera, his debut with Glyndebourne Festival Opera, and debuts with the Lahti and Gulbenkian symphony orchestras in concerts conducted by Hannu Lintu.
